Alexander Lee Eusebio

Ok, where do I start. I have so much to say in this post and it all means a lot to me. Many of you wont really understand why Im so sad because you never knew Alexander Lee Eusebio. Well, technically I never knew him personally but I feel like I know so much about him. As most of you know, I love korean music and I absolutely love korean boy bands. In January, I started liking this group called U-KISS. I watched the music video for the song Man Man Ha Ni (yes, that is in Korean. Tanslated in english, its called Am I That Easy). When I first watched that music video, I started to like one of the lead singers named Kevin but then, near the end of the song... Alexanders rap came along. My eyes were immediately glued to the screen! I watched that rap over and over again and Im still not tired of it! Then I watched their music video for the song Shut Up and I loved it! Its my favourite song and I just love Alexanders part!!!! I got all their songs on my ipod and I would always wait anxiously for Alexanders part in the song.
So, that is how I started liking U-KISS and I decided that Alexander was my favourite in U-KISS. But I still liked other korean pop idols in other groups more than him, and thats because I didnt know much about him. So, I started watching U-KISS shows... And I was amazed!! I loved Alexander so much! His personality was so lively and he was always having fun! But let me give you some information about Alexander. He is 23 years old and he was the oldest in the group U-KISS but he never acted like the oldest. He was always so goofy and just hilarious! Alexander isnt korean; he was born in Hong Kong and when he first joined U-KISS he had some trouble speaking korean. But Alexander is extremely smart! He knows 7-8 different languages, including English! He studied in America and he can speak english fluently. He still has an accent but it is adorable! I love listening to him speak in english. He has a twitter account and he tweets all the time. I wanna get a twitter account so I can follow him. His posts are always random and hilarious! He always says random things that are on his mind, and he always talks about what hes eating! Of course he is so cute and very good looking! I love his eyes so much! I think that is how I noticed him... His eyes! I cant even describe them so Im not gonna try but I love his eyes! I love his hair so much and he is known for putting his hair in cute little pigtails all over his head. Not for concerts and stuff like that but just for fun! He is so cute when he puts his hair up! This whole week, Ive been putting my hair up, just like him! Alexander is so talented. He raps, sings and dances! I love his voice, especially when he raps. No one raps like him! Now, on to his personality. His personality is what makes him so different than other korean pop idols. He is always so happy and lively and full of energy! He acts like a little kid and thats what I love about him! He is always goofing around and I smmile whenever I watch videos about him. Alexander is so fun and entertaining to watch and his smile is adorable! And his laugh... I LOVE IT SO MUCH! Its so funny, yet adorable at the same time! His laugh is so unique that I can always notice it. Whenever I hear that laugh, I know its Alexander. He never failed to make me laugh and bring a smile to my face. Im really gonna miss hearing his laugh. Aside from being hilarious, he is so genuine, friendly and kind to everyone! There was a video on youtube where Alexander gave a tour of his house and there was one room full of presents and signs from fans. He keeps all his fan letters and everything fans give to him. He has never thrown out any of them. Alexander said that whenever he had a bad day, he would always go into that room. It always made him feel so much better to know that he has so many fans that believe in him. He is a hard-worker and he is very determined. Another thing that I just found out is that he is a Christian like me! I was so excited when I heard that! I love everything about Alexander and I will always be a fan!
So, if you havent guess by now, Alexander left the band U-KISS just last week. Last week he had his last performance and at the end, he cried onstage. The whole group of U-KISS hugged and as he said his speech, he had tears in his eyes (wow, my eyes are tearing up right now!). Alexander and another group member, Kibum left the band. Kibum left because the company said that he was lacking talent in terms of his singing and dancing. He left the month before. I didnt know much about Kibum. I will miss him but it isnt affecting me that much. When I heard the news that Alexander was leaving, I was in total shock. I did not want to believe that. I heard that Alexander was leaving to continue his studies and I believed that, until now. Now, I heard that the company wanted a switch in members and they wanted 2 members to leave. They chose Kibum but the Alexander sacrificed himself. He decided to leave because he was the oldest and he wanted to let his other younger members continue. I find that really touching that Alexander would actually do that, leave the band just so his other members wouldnt have to. U-KISS will never be the same again! Their 7 member group was so perfect and now it has gone to 5. I would feel a little better if the group stayed as 5 members (Kevin, Eli, Dongho, Soohyun & Kiseop) but now the company found 2 replacements for Alexander and Kibum!! I got extremely mad about that. They cant just replace Alexander like that! He is unreplacable and there is no one like him! I find this totally unfair! I am still going to support U-KISS but it will be very hard for me to accept the new members. And I am probably gonna cry when U-KISS releases their new album (within the next few months). Im gonna cry when I listen to their songs and not hear Alexanders voice. It just wont seem right anymore. Most people would just say, get over it and move on, he is replaced but I cant. People dont understand that Alexander truely was the heart of U-KISS he was the one who was full of joy and always being so funny! Although U-KISS didnt have a leader, Alexander was the oldest so I guess you could have called him the leader. He is so special and unique! Everytime I watched their live performances, their music videos and their shows, I would always look for Alexander! He always brightened the moods of everyone around him. Whenever I was feeling sad, I would watch videos about him and I couldnt help but smile. He is always so cheerful, so to see him cry on his last performance broke my heart.
This post is getting really long so Ill have to stop now. BUT I WILL ALWAYS LOVE ALEXANDER OPPA!! I will never ever forget about him!!

Self-Defence!!

     Today was the day I had been dreading all week! Attack Day!! If you don't know what happened, I'll explain.

     On Tuesday, we started self-defence in gym class. These two men came from this organization to teach the grade nine girls how to defend themselves if they every get attacked. So, on Tuesday we just watched this video about self-defence and it was honestly the funniest thing I have ever seen! The man that was teaching in the video was hilarious and me and my whole class were laughing so hard! But the video taught us some really cool tips. Like, what kind of purse to use, what to do when your in an elevator with a man, what to do in a taxi and other very useful tips!

     On Wednesday, the training began! These two men came in and they were our trainers. We practised hitting, punching and kneeing (is that a word?) Then, they were both coming around while we were practising with a friend and we had to practise kneeing them in their... u know what! At least they had a mat protecting them. I had so much fun learning all these cool techniques!

     Thursday, we got to the more intense stuff! All the floor stuff! We learned what to do when a man sits on you and how to get him off. Also, we learned what to do if you get choked and also what to do when a man grabs you from the back (like a big bear hug). It was so much fun! We had to practice with our friends so I practised with my friend Stefanie. It was awkward but hilarious at the same time!

     Then... Friday came along and it was... ATTACK DAY!!!! Basically, attack day is when one by one, you get attacked by one of the men. They grab you from the back and bring you to the floor... then they sit on you! You have to kick and hit as much as you can and try to get away from him. Also, you need to scream as much as you can! I was terrified all day! Not just a little scared... TERRIFIED! I had gym last period so I was waiting nervously all day! When it was my turn, I was so scared! I was standing there and I could feel the breathe of the man behind me and then suddenly, he grabs me and brings me to the floor! It felt so real! As if I was actually getting attacked! I was screaming and kicking all over the place! I was so surprised at how quickly I got away! I took less than a minute and I wasn't even tired afterwards! I am so proud of myself! I can't believe I actually ran away from him!

     I really enjoyed this experience! I would love to do it again and I am really thankful that these men came in to do this class with us. It taught me so many awesome tips and techniques. Most importantly, this experience showed me that I can really scream! I was really nervous cause I thought I wouldn't be able to scream but I did and I am very proud!

Long Time No C!

Wow! It's been so long since I've blogged. I've been so busy with homework and exams so this post will basically be about everything that has been going on. First of all, exams! They are over! I had a science and math exam and I passed both of them! I did pretty good on my math exam and I did ok on my science but I'm still so happy! I didn't think I would be able to pass science. But I did and now science is done for the year! I've had an awesome exam break. I went to my friend Zainab's house and we had a lot of fun. The next day I went shopping with my friend Nikhita and even though I only bout a sweater and two necklaces, we still had a lot of fun! Then, on Friday I went to the movies with my friends from my art class. We saw the movie "The Green Hornet" and it was an amazing movie! It was so good! Throughout my exam break, I've also been on the computer non-stop making movies on imovie and that brings me to my next point... KOREAN BOY BANDS!!!!! If you didn't know, I had been obsessed with the Korean boy band called SHINee but now I've dived into another obsession. MBLAQ! They are my new favourite band and I absolutely love them! I watched their show and it was hilarious! I have all of their songs and I've seen all their music videos so many times.

My favourite member of the group is Cheondoong "Thunder". He is the one that is down in the picture. Thunder does rap, dance and vocal. He is one of the two rappers in the group and he is amazing! He is the second youngest but most people think that he is the youngest cause he has a cute little face :) I am obsessed with him right now.

So, that's basically all I have to say about Korean music. I LOVE KOREAN POP MUSIC!

Anyways, I'm not looking forward to going back to school on Tuesday. I've been loving the break! But at least I still have two more days to relax!                                      

The Break Is Finally Here!

Ugh! Im so happy that its finally the Christmas break! Im at my cousins house! I went to their church and we did a present exchange and watched Despicable Me, all in our pajamas cause it was pajama day! Yesterday, my cousins had to go to school (sucks for them) but my baby cousin Josef came over and I played with him all day! He is so cute and I loved playing with him! But today, hes not coming and my cousins just left for their last day of school so I guess Im gonna work on my art project. I have to make a clay gnome. I cant wait until my cousins are done school! Me and my cousin Pauline (9-years old) are making up a dance together to the song Like OMG, Baby which is a remix done my DJ Earworm and its of all the best songs of summer 2010. It has Tik Tok, Baby, OMG, In My Head and more.
Today is gonna be a relaxing day. Josef isnt coming so im pretty sad but at least hes coming tomorrow! Im so excited! Apparantly he kinda knows my name now. He says Eila. Danelia: Elia... Its close! And he actually holds out his arms to me, telling me to pick him up. Im so happy!

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1

Monday was an amazing day! Me and my friend Nikhita went to see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1! We went around 5:00pm and realized that the theatre didn't open until 6:00pm so we waited at a restaurant until 6. Then we went in and played pinball in the arcade room for a while. After that, we bought our popcorn and drinks with coupons and I bought a pack full of Harry Potter silly bands. Since there were people already in the theatre, we went inside and waited there watching previews and commercials until 7:00pm, when it started. I was so excited! I had been waiting for this movies for soooo long! Before the movie, everyone was texting me asking if the movie started yet. One of my friends was telling me that the movie was amazing and she was making me more and more excited by the minute. Then the movie started and... IT WAS THE BEST MOVIE OF THE WHOLE SERIES!!!!!! It was incredible! I loved it so much! It was different than all the other Harry Potter movies, everyone's acting was soo much better and it was just so full of action! I am now soo excited to see part 2 but I'm really mad that its coming out next summer. I can't wait that long! So, now it is my favourite movie! The only thing I was disappointed in was that Draco Malfoy was only in like 2 scenes. I was really excited to see him in it. But the scenes that he was in were awesome!

Best Weekend!

So, on Thursday I got my SIM card for my iphone! I am officially an owner of an iphone 4! I've been texting all the time. On Friday, I was invited to my friend Nada's birthday party. It was a lot of fun! I was texting my friend Zainab and we were texting literally all weekend! But I'll talk about that later. So anyways, after the party, Nikhita dropped me off and I started to prepare for our Harry Potter Marathon. If you don't know about that, I'll tell you. Me and Nikhita are really big Harry Potter fans and since the 7th movie is coming out on November 19th, we decided to have an all-nighter, Harry Potter Marathon. I decorated my basement with streamers, balloons and a Harry Potter poster. We had nachos with melted cheese for dinner and for snacks, we had chips, chocolate, candy, cupcakes and Fresca to drink. Our marathon started at 6:33pm on Friday and we watched all the Harry Potter movies in order one after another. We finished the next day at 9:30am! It was so much fun! It was like the best night of my life and I will never forget it! Once Nikhita left, I took a little nap and for the rest of the afternoon and evening, I was just relaxing and texting.

Sunday was pretty normal, I went to church and then Zainab texted me and from that moment till night, we were texting non-stop! It was one of the most hilarious conversations ever! Lambpo! You guys probably don't know what Lambpo is cause we made it up but it is the funniest thing alive! I had so much fun texting her and from then on, we've been texting each other.

Today is Tuesday and nothing really happened. But I'm really worried about science! The unit test is on Friday and I know I'm going to fail! I guess I'll just have to study extra hard!

Happy Halloween!

Yesterday was Halloween! Horray! It was a lot of fun! Me and my friends Nikhita and Sarah went trick-or-treating around my neighborhood (no, we're not too old). We were all gothic people. It was a theme. I was a dead, punk goth, Nikhita was goth and Sarah was a goth princess. I know I said before that I might be a hip hop dancer but we were so busy this weekend that I didn't have time to buy all the clothes for that costume. Then I decided to wear my grad dress with my leather jacket and be a punk princess but it was too cold. Finally, about 4 hours before trick-or-treating, I changed my costume again. My mom had this amazing idea. She cut up a t-shirt and made my face all pale with a scar. I wore my skirt with sculls on them and my black gloves. I had white streaks in my hair and bows with sculls on them. I didn't know exactly what I was but in the end, I decided that it was a dead, punk goth... person. I loved my hair but I wasn't looking foreword to taking a shower when we got back. We were going to start trick-or-treating at around 6:00pm but there was absolutely no one outside! No joke! There wasn't one single person out! After like half an hour, we finally decided to go to the first house. We went around the whole neighborhood and there were a few other people on different streets but my street was deserted. My massive bag got filled up with tons of candy! We got so many small chip bags and I was soo happy! Chips are my favourite but I also like chocolate... A lot! It was fun going around the neighborhood. We saw so many creative costumes that people made themselves. There was a pizza, a Starbucks cup, cowboys, monsters and more! We went to this one house and this guy was dressed up with this really freaky mask. He was holding the candy bowl and we took some candy. Then he told us to touch the human sized clown that was sitting on a chair. We didn't want to touch it but finally, Nikhita kicked his foot gently and the clown sat up and we screamed so loud! It was scary but funny at the same time. Halloween this year was fun but I think next year I might decorate my house really scary and give out candy.

But, now it's back to school. Today, I was so tired! The morning was horrible. I was really tired and we had to write this practice "test" evaluation thing. Then I go to math and find out that I have a math quiz tomorrow. Art comes along and I can't even do my project! I was getting so frustrated! And then I went to... Science. At least we were just correcting homework and watching little video clips about water, carbon and nitrogen cycles as well as interactions within an ecosystem and blah, blah, blah! Then, finally it was lunch!! I was so hungry and by then I was a little more awake. We just sat there all lunch talking. The last class of the day was tech and we each had to pick a child from the pre-school class to observe for the period. I know it sounds weird... Observing a child but that's what we had to do! Me and my friends Aanchal and Stefanie are leading a circle time for the kids on Thursday and we had barely started so after school, we met at the library to work on it. We had a hilarious time! It was so much fun! We waited for like 45 minutes, listening to a lady tell us about nutrition books and then once we worked a little bit more, we went to get drinks. Me and Aanchal got Cappuccinos but we thought it was like the iced cappuccinos from Tim Hortons. It was so hot and we were laughing our faces off. That woke me up! But now, I'm tired again so I think I'm going to go to my room to listen to my ipod. Oh! That reminds me! My dad ordered my phone plan for my iphone and it's going to arrive sometime this weekend, maybe Monday! I'm so excited!

What I've Been Waiting For

Guess what?! Yesterday I got an IPHONE!!!!! I am so excited and happy! I've wanted an iphone for so long and my parents said that I could possibly get one for Christmas but I got it yesterday! The thing is, my dad didn't even have to pay for the phone, he won it in a draw. So now, we only have to buy the plan. My dad's looking around trying to pick the best plan so right now I can't use the phone. By Monday, I should be able to use it! I'm soooo excited! This is seriously, the best week ever! First, on Sunday, Denys wins So You Think You Can Dance Canada, and the next day I get an iphone! I can't even believe it!

What's Going On In My Life?

This post is basically random things that are going on in my life right now. I thought I should share some things, both good and bad. Now, I was going to save this until the end but I can't wait any longer... DENYS WON SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA!!!!!!!!!!! I watched the finale yesterday with my mom and when they announced his name, I started screaming and jumping up and down. I am so happy and I've been happy all day! He is my favourite dancer and he really deserved to win! I'm kinda sad that this season is over but I can't wait for season 4!

I'm really excited for Halloween on Sunday (yes, I'm on to a different subject). But the problem is, I don't know what to be! I still want to dress up, I mean, come on! You're never too old to dress up and go trick-or-treating! I really don't know what to be! Help! I don't really want to be a character from a book or a movie, I've done that almost every year. But I don't know what! Since I am so in to watching dance right now, I was thinking of maybe being a hip hop dancer. I can't really dance hip hop but I think it would be different than anything I've ever dress up as before. Hopefully on Monday, after Halloween I will post about it. :)
Now, onto school. I still haven't got my science unit test back yet and I'm kinda annoyed but also kinda relieved at the same time. Some of you may not know that I did a science unit test a few weeks ago and I am certain that I did horrible! I didn't finish like half the test! So, I don't really want that test back. Today I did a science quiz that doesn't count (more science, I know) and I think I did pretty well! That's a surprise! Oh!! And today in tech we started childcare! Were split into 3 groups and each day a different group gets to be in the pre-school to play with the kids. My group went today and I met this little girl and we were playing together the whole time! I also coloured with this other little boy and we played with the blocks and the "little people". It was fun! I love kids!
Guess what? I might be getting either a cell phone or an iphone soon! After much discussion with my parents, they agreed to buy me one but were not sure what yet. I hope I get one soon! I'm so excited!

So You Think You Can Dance Canada

Back in the summer when I was camping at my trailer, I would have nothing to do in the evenings cause it was too dark to go outside. So one day, me and my mom decided to just watch some tv all evening and "So You Think You Can Dance Canada" was on and it was the first episode of the season (auditions). It was on every day for that week because it was the audition week so we watched everyday and that was when I got hooked on it. I've been watching it ever since and I haven't missed a single episode. If I can't watch a certain show, the next morning I'll wake up very early and watch it on youtube. Since I've been watching the show since it first started I definitely have my favourite dancers! From the beginning, I've loved Danielle and Sebastian. 

That is Danielle Gardner (pictures above). She, in my opinion was the best contemporary dancer in the whole show and I really thought she would make it to the top 4 but I guess not. I was really sad to see her go. She adds so much emotion to her dancing and really tells a story. You can tell that she is really passionate about dance and I love to watch her.

Sebastian Mersch was also an amazing contemporary dancer (pictures above) but he was different than any dancer I've ever seen. He is a very quirky, fun and extremely flexible dancer. When he dances, he always puts on a show and it's just so much fun to watch. Some people might call him weird but I think that just makes him different from everyone else and I love his personality! I'm sad that he didn't make it to the top 4 but I kinda saw it coming, I guess.

Danielle and Sebastian were partners for a while and I loved all of their routines. They did contemporary, theatre, hip hop, quickstep, bollywood, and more! They're so much fun to watch!                                                                

But I also love Denys, a ballroom/contemporary dancer and he is absolutely amazing! I've never seen anyone dance that well! He is an extraordinary dancer. I knew right from the beginning of the show that he would make it to the top 4. He's never had a bad performance and he absolutely killed every routine. Denys is such a strong male dancer and he is just incredible! He's done tango, contemporary, quickstep, house, samba, paso doble, mambo and salsa and he was great in everyone of them!

For those of you who don't watch the show, I'll explain a little about it. For the first show, all 22 dancers get paired up and then each week, they pick a style of dance out of a hat and perform it. Then, they announce the bottom 3 couples who then must "dance for their life". That means that each dancer gets to do a 30 second solo dance to show Canada what they can do. The judges will then pick 1 girl and 1 boy to be eliminated. After about 5 weeks of being with the same partner, they then switch it up. So, they get paired up with someone different every week. Then, Canada votes for their favourite dancer not their favourite couple. And then the bottom 2 dancers get eliminated. I am so excited! I just watched the final performance show on Wednesday and it was the top 4 dancers. Sadly, Danielle and Sebastian got eliminated from the top 8 but I'm still really happy that Denys is still there. I want him to win and I even voted for him a few times. I am so excited for Sunday because it's the finale! That is when they will announce the winner!!!! It's gonna be a 2-hour special and me and my mom are gonna watch together.

Life as a High School Student

This year I started grade nine. High School! High School is so different than Elementary School but it's so much fun! I've kept my friends from my old school but I've also met tons of new amazing friends. I never would have thought that grade 9 would start off so well... Minus when I lost my bag on the first day of school. Anyways, Homework is starting to pile up and I've been staying up pretty late last week doing homework. But I'm so glad it's the weekend right now! 
So I'm really liking high school and I'm so excited for the Halloween Bake Sale!
